But it cannot navigate by the chapter marks which are imbedded in the MKV files (i.e. Yes, it can skip-forward or skip-backward either (a) indivually 10 seconds at a time, or (b) continuously in 10-second jumps until you push PLAY to resume playback. However there is one downside of using USB media and RMP to play it: the Roku Media Player does not have the ability to navigate forward and backward BY CHAPTER WITHIN TITLE. Almost the same as when using physical discs and a mechanical disc player. It is perfectly feasible and doable, and the basic but mostly adequate navigational and sequential playback capability of the RMP app makes it behave almost exactly as it should. The intent is to insert this USB drive into the USB port of a Roku Ultra 2020 and thereby be able to "play" all of these DVDs "digitally" through the Roku Media Player (RMP) app, instead of having to manually insert and manage the individual physical DVDs played through a conventional mechanical optical disc player. The result of the entire project (about 95GB) was written to a 128GB USB flash drive. Each DVD had say 1-5 "titles" on it, and each "title" had say 1-15 chapters within it. I just finished copying 22 DVDs to MKV for my cousin.
